Wildlife & Fishkeeping Links

Practical Fishkeeping Magazine
The UK's best-selling fishkeeping magazine. I used to sit on their 'Panel of Experts', and had some of my aquarium displays featured in their magazine. PFK magazine generously supported my coral-farming project at the Brighton Sea Life Centre; providing extensive support and some equipment and trace elements for us to use in the display.

Milliput
Milliput is the 2-part epoxy putty which I used extensively for various coral-farming projects. This is the most amazingly versatile product I have ever used - it even sets underwater! The Milliput Company generously supported my coral-farming project at the Brighton Sea Life Centre, supplying us with vast quantities of their excellent products!

Zoological Society of London
A Charitable foundation which owns and operates Whipsnade and London zoos, and is behind the new 'Biota' aquarium in London (currently under construction).

Natural History Museum - The 'Darwin Centre'
Home to a vast collection of bottled animal and plant specimens preserved in alcohol. This part of the Museum gives a fascinating insight into how natural history specimens are studies by scientists, and contains some specimens collected by Charles Darwin on his Beagle voyage.

The National Trust
A Charitable foundation which works to preserve and protect the coastline, countryside and buildings of England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Steve Irwin - the 'Crocodile Hunter'
The fantastic documentaries by Steve and Terri Irwin, and their "hands-on" approach to conservation, were a huge influence on me when I was farming my corals. Steve and Terri clearly demonstrated the importance of conserving species and habitats by making conservation exciting.

GARF - The Geothermal Aquaculture Research Foundation
The Geothermal Aquaculture Research Foundation have been another huge influence on me with their "zero impact" system for setting up coral reef displays. These guys grow/make everything at their facility in Boise (Idaho, US) - from coral frags and live sand, through to home-made live rock!

Reefs UK
A popular UK-based Reefkeeping forum. When I first started propagating corals, I listed all of my frags on this site.

AquariumMalta
A forum for fishkeepers on the islands of Malta and Gozo, covering all aspects of the fishkeeping hobby. I am half Maltese, and it is great to discover that there is a thriving fishkeeping community there!

The Coral Garden
A Norfolk-based shop run by my good mate Steve Spray. Steve gave me loads of support and advice when I was farming corals, and his support and assistance was hugely appreciated.
